Pedro Pascal Shut Out of Pedro Pascal-Themed Exhibition in England
Pedro Pascal may be the internet's daddy, but the title doesn't hold much weight in the real world.
The Last of Us star, 48, along with pals musician Robert Diament, 43, and Being Human star Russell Tovey, 41, stopped by the Rhodes Gallery in Margate, England this past Sunday, Aug. 6, where an exhibition dedicated to him is on display, but his good name and good nature were simply not enough to get him in.
The gallery was tragically closed upon their arrival, with the actor having no other option but to miss out on "ADHD Hyper Fixation and why it looks like I love Pedro Pascal" from local artist Heidi Gentle Burrell, 45.
Even though he ultimately missed out on the fruits of her labor, Burrell was still stoked to hear that Pascal had made the effort to attend.
The artist told The Independent that his attempt was "absolutely fantastic," though she was "gutted he showed up on a Sunday when the gallery was closed."
Ultimately, she hopes the attention brought to the exhibition thanks to his scheduling faux pas will also bring attention to neurodivergence. Though self-diagnosed with ADHD, Burrell creates art surrounding her current pop culture hyper-fixations, with Pascal being the most recent muse for painting, mirror-imaging, and Photoshop.
“I just found he had a really interesting face, from an artistic point-of-view. He’s got two little bald patches in his beard and creases in his eyebrows and bridge of his nose. I wouldn’t call myself an obsessed fan, but I do hyper-fixate on capturing him in my art,” she explained.
The exhibition runs for a few more weeks, so perhaps Pascal will still make it.
