Penélope Cruz Goes Retro in Chanel Tweed Dress for ‘Ferrari’ Madrid Photo-call
Penélope Cruz was black, white and pink all over on Monday while attending a photo-call for “Ferrari” in Madrid. The actress plays Laura Ferrari, wife of race car driver and entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari, in Michael Mann’s latest film.
Cruz sported a button-up houndstooth Chanel dress, which featured pink lining, in the label’s signature tweed textile. She accessorized with a matching cloche, hoop earrings and a black quilted handbag, as well as a pair of open-toe platforms. Cruz’s polished look nodded to ’60s suiting, evoking the “Ferrari” film’s 1957 time period.

The actress wore her light brown mane in a sleek bob, while her makeup included brown eyeliner and a glossy light pink lip.
Cruz has been an ambassador for Chanel since 2018, appearing in ads for the famed fashion house’s clothing and accessories. Last year, Cruz fronted Chanel’s latest J12 watch campaign alongside Margot Robbie, Ali MacGraw and Chinese actress Zhou Xun.
Cruz has also been known to favor Chanel designs on the red carpet. At the Met Gala honoring the brand’s longtime creative director Karl Lagerfeld, Cruz donned an haute couture design from Chanel’s spring 1988 collection. Her sheer ballgown featured silver sequin embellishments.
“My dear Karl, I hope you are feeling the love. I know you are,” the actress wrote on Instagram.
More recently, Cruz wore Chanel while attending the 2024 Governors Awards in January. The actress’ white tiered gown came adorned with floral buttons.
“Ferrari,” which debuted last year, stars Adam Driver, Shailene Woodley and Patrick Dempsey. Cruz is up for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance, having received a nomination in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role category.
