Penélope Cruz is certainly turning heads at the 94th Academy Awards. The actress, who is nominated in the Best Actress in a leading role category for Parallel Mothers, arrived on the red carpet wearing a Chanel gown — but her tweed necklace may be more impressive than her dress.
And Penélope showed up and showed out in a floor-sweeping inky halter dress with a spotlight-stealing princess skirt. The bodice featured a keyhole cutout with a necklace that referenced Chanel tweed, one of the brand's most recognizable signatures. The bodice also had a long row of buttons and ruched gathering. Cruz added a huge diamond ring and swept her caramel hair to one side.
In 2020, Penélope wowed at the most prestigious awards ceremony of the year in a stunning black Chanel gown with a pearl-belted midsection, pleated bubble skirt, and a white flower embellishment. This year marks the actress's fourth nomination and would be her second win — she took the trophy for Best Supporting Actress in 2008 for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Penélope and Javier aren't the only spouses dually nominated tonight. The 2022 Oscars are shaping up to be somewhat of a date night for Hollywood hunnies with husband-and-wife duo Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons also simultaneously nominated in Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories for The Power of the Dog.
At least it's a win-win situation if only one member of the relationship takes home the little gold man.
