People can’t get over Barack Obama’s duck face
There’s been much ado lately about pictures of former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama. Just a few short weeks ago, the hubbub was over their official portraits, which inspired plenty of strong opinions (much like the former president’s two terms in office). Perhaps the underlying reason is that Barack Obama might be the most photogenic commander in chief to sit in the White House since Kennedy? Likewise for Michelle Obama, of course. A testament to that, perhaps, is that an almost year-old selfie seems to be popping back up in social media, and people still can’t seem to get over it.
Originally taken at the final White House Easter Egg Roll event hosted by the Obamas in 2016, a series of silly photo booth selfies is plucking at the heartstrings of Obama fans all over again. Dressed simply and springtime appropriate — particularly the president’s blue-and-white gingham shirt — the former first couple seems deeply happy and forever in love, mugging it up for the camera. Most notable? Barack Obama’s social-media-savvy duck face.
The first instance we could find of the old photo resurfacing was on an account for Music-Entertainment-Fashion Eater magazine (Mefeater), shared as if new and without any context.

But once the photo posted on the popular and influential Instagram of gossip blog LoveBScott, the photos blew up. A simple search for the #barackobama tag on Instagram reveals a steady stream of the selfies from all corners of the globe.

Few are pointing out that the picture isn’t new — the point being, people don’t care. They still miss the Obamas, it seems, whether to shower them with adoration or to blame them for all the evil in the world.
“Worst Pres (sic) of all time. Going down in history for that one!“ quipped one wannabe Nostradamus in the LoveBScott’s Instagram comments. The vast majority of commenters and people reposting the photo, however, seem to disagree.
