WARNING: This story contains spoilers about Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 3.

Tonight, almost every character we know in Game of Thrones fought against the Army of the Dead in the Battle of Winterfell-emphasis on almost. Except for Cersei with her people down at King's Landing and the Northern civilians hidden in the Winterfell crypts, everyone else was on the battlefield at some point of the night, even Bran Stark.

The boy-turned-Three-Eyed Raven served an important purpose in the battle, essentially posing as bait to lure the Night King into the godswood of the castle so it would be easier to kill him. The role is no doubt dangerous, but some viewers didn't give Bran much credit for his work. At one point, he even warged into a raven and flew beyond the walls of Winterfell to see the fighting going on outside and the Night King flying in on his dragon. Yet, that was not enough to impress the audience.

Some fans poked fun at the fact that while the rest of the crew was fighting for their lives around the castle, Bran was simply posted up under a weirwood tree, seemingly doing nothing.

People threw shade at the fact that he warged in the middle of battle.

Some also compared Bran's contributions to that of Arya, who killed the Night King, thus saving humanity.

Hopefully Bran will have another chance to prove himself more useful in GoT's final episodes.

Game of Thrones returns on Sunday on HBO at 9 P.M. ET.
