People Love Aldi Chocolate Bars. We Ranked Our Top 10
Aldi Chocolate Bar Selection
Aldi loyalists (like me) constantly brag about the money they save on everyday groceries, like produce, meat, snacks and more. But even the most seasoned Aldi shopper can discover something new.
Prime example: I had no idea about Aldi's chocolate bar selection. I have probably walked by it a thousand times, totally oblivious to the chocolate lover's paradise! Once I knew it was there, you know I had to dive in.
Boy, did I feel foolish! There are so many chocolate bars to choose from, a novice might not know where to begin. Rest assured, I'm here to help. I taste-tested ten of Aldi's top chocolate bars and have ranked them, which will at least give you a place to start on your next shopping trip.

What Chocolate Bars Does Aldi Sell?
Aldi is best known for their store brands that aren't found at any other market. This is one way they can keep prices low and quality high. As one Reddit user said, "The chocolate at Aldi has mercifully resisted the quality decline and 'shrinkflation' hitting other items hard."
When it comes to Aldi chocolate bars, the two most common brands are Moser Roth and Choceur. Both are German chocolate produced exclusively for Aldi.
The wide selection is something to behold with both milk and dark chocolate options, plus a vast array of flavors: mint, raspberry, toffee, hazelnut, almond and more!

What's Special About Aldi's Chocolate Bars?
European chocolate is known to be some of the best in the world, and Aldi takes full advantage! Their chocolate bars are mainly produced in Germany, but some are made in Belgium or Austria. At any other store, chocolate from any of these places might carry a high price tag, but because this is a store-brand chocolate, Aldi can keep the price low.
Another reason Aldi chocolate bars are a fan favorite is the variety. They have a little something for everyone, no matter if you are a milk or dark chocolate fan, want extra flavor, prefer some salty mix-ins, etc. Oh, and they have seasonal choices too. Keep your eyes peeled for the pumpkin-flavored chocolates landing soon.
Finally, many of Aldi's chocolates are sold in packages with individually wrapped bars inside, making them perfect for snacking, sharing and adding to lunchboxes (or purses or pockets).

How Much Do Aldi Chocolate Bars Cost?
Most Aldi's chocolate bars are between $2 and $4, which is a great deal for European chocolate. The day I shopped there were even a few varieties on sale for only $1.39. Who can pass up a sweet deal like that?
During the weeks leading up to Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter, be sure to check the Aldi Finds aisle for specials on their chocolates too.

Top 10 Best Aldi Chocolate Bars, Ranked
I took one for the team (what a struggle, right?) and tried some of the best chocolate bars Aldi has to offer. Here are my 10 favorites and the reasons why.
10. Moser Roth Dark Chili Chocolate Bar
I was super excited when I spotted this one. Not so much for me, but for my husband. He is down for anything spicy, and unlike me, enjoys dark chocolate the most. Unfortunately, this didn't have much heat at all—not even for a wimp like me. However, the chocolate did have a nice flavor, and I'm guessing it was enhanced by the addition of chili, but we were looking for a little more wow factor from this bar.

9. Moser Roth Dark Mint Chocolate Bar
I'm a huge mint lover—and not just at Christmas. In my head, I thought this would taste like a giant after-dinner mint (you know the ones the Italian restaurants like to give away) so when I bit into it and could barely taste the mint, my heart sank a little. The more I ate the more mint I could taste, but I could have done with more minty flavor.

8. Choceur Dark Chocolate With Almonds Bar
I am not a dark chocolate fan, so I was pleasantly surprised that this one wasn't too bitter for my tastebuds. I was also impressed by the size of the almond pieces. The large pieces of nuts really added great texture and flavor to this bar.

7. Moser Roth Dark Raspberry Almond Bar
Seeing a theme here? Yes, another dark chocolate variety is at the bottom of the list. I can't help it, I'm just a milk chocolate kind of girl. This one was another one I knew my hubby, who is a huge raspberry fan, would be excited to try. This bar is filled with tiny pieces of raspberry, so much so, I didn't even notice the almonds, but rest assured, they're there too. It's just overflowing with raspberry bits and flavor!

6. Choceur Peanuts & Cornflakes Chocolate Bar
Finally, some milk chocolate! Did you do a double take when you read the word "cornflakes"? Yeah, that was me standing in Aldi when I saw it too. The cornflakes intrigued me enough to try it and I was shocked by how much I enjoyed this bar. The extra crunch and hint of sweetness from the cornflakes really played well with the salty peanuts and made for a delicious treat.
5. Moser Roth Toffee Crunch Chocolate Bar
I'm a big toffee fan, but you know what I don't enjoy? Getting the buttery candy stuck in my teeth! Not only does this chocolate bar have just the right amount of toffee flavor and crunch, the toffee is chopped into very tiny pieces, so there's no need to floss when you're done!

4. Choceur Strawberry Yogurt Chocolate Bar
I won't even lie, the top four bars were the hardest to rank. So hard in fact, I had to go in for a second and third bite just to make sure. This smooth chocolate bar, with its creamy, fruity center tastes just like a chocolate-covered strawberry to me! Plus yogurt makes it healthy, right?!

3. Choceur Cookies 'N' Crème Chocolate Bar
I'm a sucker for a great cookies and cream combo, and this one hit it out of the park. It's delicious as-is, but it would also be fantastic broken up and sprinkled on a chocolate sundae.

2. Choceur Salted Pretzel Pieces Chocolate Bar
I love all things sweet and salty (maple frosted donut with bacon bits on top, please!), so this was the FIRST bar I grabbed off the shelf. We all love those chocolate-dipped pretzels that are on every holiday treat platter, so why not enjoy that same flavor year-round? Choceur doesn't skimp on the pretzel pieces either—there are big chunks throughout the bar, giving you the perfect sweet and salty combo in every bite.

1. Choceur Milk Chocolate With Almonds Bar
We have finally reached the #1 spot, and it truly wasn't an easy decision. What put the milk chocolate and almond bar at the head of the class? I have two reasons. First, it's made with hazelnut spread, which gives it an extra smoothness and creaminess. And second, the flavor reminded me of another chocolate bar I have been obsessed with for years...Toblerone! Now I can have that same indulgence at half of the price!
