People are really puzzled by Sharon Stone's Golden Globes hairstyle
Sharon Stone announced the list of nominees for the 75th Golden Globe Awards on Monday, but her hair was the real scene-stealer.
Along with Kristen Bell, Garrett Hedlund, and Alfre Woodard, Stone, 59, took the podium at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles to announce this year’s lineup, which included television shows Big Little Lies, The Handmaid’s Tale, and This Is Us, as well as the films The Post and The Shape of Water.
But social media was clearly distracted by Stone’s hair, which had been fashioned into a sort of three-pronged bouffant for the occasion, drawing comparisons to Heat Miser, a character from the 1974 film The Year Without a Santa Claus.

However, according to Danai Schulte, stylist and owner of MAVEN Beverly Hills, Stone’s hair isn’t what it seems. “This is an unfortunate lighting issue,” she tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “If you view the video of Sharon Stone, her hairstyle doesn’t look as tall or pronged as it does in the photos.”
Schulte says Stone’s look is a textured pompadour that, on blondes with lighter pieces, can create the illusion of darker spots and look choppy. In reality, she says, “Sharon Stone looked flawless.”
