Pet Parents Have Touching Way of Including Pups in Late Dog's Burial

They wanted to make sure they'd be a part of it.

Every pet parent dreads the day they have to say goodbye to their best furry friend. Even for owners of multiple dogs, it never gets easier adjusting to four fewer paws running around the house. That's why it can be incredibly healing to honor a late pet with a ceremony or burial, just like @tarathompson63 did for one of her beloved dogs.

After losing a member of their pack, Tara decided to let her dogs be a part of the late pup's burial. As the humans made the burial site look as lovely as can be, the dogs were able to watch and visit. It truly was a touching tribute.

What a beautiful way to honor a pet! It's so meaningful that Tara and her family let the rest of the pack witness the burial, especially since this can help her dogs understand what happened. Plus, it's just a beautiful thing to do!

"I’m so very sorry," wrote commenter @cadillacred. "So sweet, babies sending off their friend and family member." We couldn't agree more! It's a touching way to celebrate and remember the pack member who crossed the rainbow bridge. The flowers will always remind them of the wonderful times they've had with their angel, too.

This gorgeous gesture also shows just how much that fur baby was loved. If this is how their family honors them in death, just think of how wonderful their life together must've been. Just as @dannchesmore wrote, "every dog alive deserves this much love."
