Pete Davidson's Proposal to Ariana Grande Was So Lowkey He 'Didn't Get On a Knee'
Ariana Grande recently admitted to predicting her engagement to Pete Davidson three years ago, but now she's giving some details on how it all went down.
The popstar appeared on the Zach Sang Show where she talked about their untraditional engagement. According to Ari, the proposal was so lowkey that Davidson didn't even get on one knee, to her relief. "“He didn’t get on a knee, thank God,” she said. “No, that would’ve been so googly.”
Grande's super casual vibes echo an interview Davidson had with GQ earlier this week, where he recalled picking out an engagement ring the day he met her. "I was like, 'Hey, I'll marry you tomorrow,'" he said with a grin. "She was calling my bluff. I sent her a picture [of engagement rings]. I was like, 'Do you like any of these?' She was like, 'Those are my favorite ones,' and I was like, 'Sick.'"
The quick engagement has surprised many, but no one more than Grande herself. “I’m not like a very traditional person so the fact that I’m getting married is something I never even saw coming," she admitted on the show. "I never saw that coming, I never wanted that."
Before Pete, Ari was actually super cynical about marriage. “I was like, ‘F- that, there’s no point,’ like what’s the point? Then I kind of understood it once I found the right person,” she added.
