Pete Davidson has reportedly been doing trauma therapy as a result of drama with Kanye West re: his former relationship with Kim Kardashian. A source tells People that Pete “has been in trauma therapy in large part” due to Kanye’s social media posts about him and that “the attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete] and he’s had to seek out help.”

Kanye’s most recent post came just yesterday: a mock New York Times front page stating “Skete Davidson Dead at 28,” which has since been removed.

Both Kim’s and Pete’s teams are said to have reached out to Instagram about the post, with the source explaining that “his team and Kim’s have reached out repeatedly to Instagram asking to make the platform a safer space” and that Kanye’s posts are one of the reasons Pete has been “been absent from social media.”

Another source close to Kim says that Kanye’s posts about Pete (and Pete’s decision to do trauma therapy) didn’t play a role in the breakup. “Kim does not tolerate this type of behavior from Kanye,” the source says. “She’s upset about the breakup. But the schedule made it so hard and the fact that they were living in two different cities.”

Meanwhile, Pete “has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she’s been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship. Moving forward, he just wants to focus on his career.”

FYI, the Daily Mail spoke to an insider who said (re: Kanye’s recent post), “Kim won’t stand for this. She is demanding that Kanye take the post down, but he won’t. She has been vigorously defending Pete. She’ll never get back together with Kanye over the way he’s treated the people she loves and respects. She has tried incredibly hard to have a good co-parenting situation for the children. She won’t stand for this type of behavior from him.”
