Pete Wentz: 'A Man’s Job Is Often to Be an Accessory’
Pete Wentz may have been “wildly over the edge for a couple of years,” but he’s changed. “I’m electable now,” says the 36-year-old musician, who’s currently in the midst of his band Fall Out Boy’s ‘Wintour Is Coming’ tour (which is a nod to HBO’s Game of Thrones, not Vogue EIC Anna Wintour).
In this episode of Style Session, Wentz spills on everything from the role he plays in his family (equating himself to an “accessory”) to becoming a father, to what inspired the makeup and album art for American Beauty/American Psycho. When it comes to his sartorial choices throughout the years, Wentz notes that it’s been a journey. “Clothes and fashion should make you feel good about yourself. It can be damaging to your persona or who you are. Unless you’re Karl Lagerfeld, of course.”
