Peter Weber Reveals the Real Reason He Contacted Hannah Brown After His ‘Bachelor’ Engagement
Remember when Peter Weber contacted Hannah Brown for “closure” after proposing to Hannah Ann Sluss on The Bachelor? Well, there’s a somewhat logical reason behind his actions: Brown reached out first.
The 28-year-old pilot recently sat down for an interview on Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files. Weber explained that he—along with Brown—received the episodes long before they aired on ABC, which prompted the former Bachelorette to contact him about what she’d seen.
“We get the episodes earlier to watch before the season premiere. Hannah Brown had been given the episodes as well,” he said. “One day I saw that she DM’d me on Instagram (I didn’t have her number at that point). She was being really honest and open and wondering if I had seen the episodes yet. She was kind of struggling with it. It was tough to watch.”
Since Weber was on a secret getaway with Hannah Ann, he decided to bring it up. “I saw this message and [Hannah Ann and I] were on a ‘Happy Couple’ weekend,” he added. “I told her that Hannah Brown had reached out, that it could be good for both of us to get some closure.”
Though skeptical, Hannah Ann didn’t stop Weber from calling Brown on the phone. “She told me that it was fine as long as I didn't see her in-person,” he recalled. “She was, obviously, a little hesitant…and that’s why I wanted to be transparent about her with everything. Ultimately, she gave me the OK, and Hannah Brown and I discussed things.”
We’d do anything to hear what Hannah Ann has to say about this.
