Phish food: What tasty vendors are coming to Mondegreen Festival in Woodlands of Dover?

The aroma of weed is not foreign to The Woodlands of Dover, and this weekend's Phish Mondegreen Festival is expected to be no exception.

But when Phish fans inevitably get the munchies, what will they have to eat at the Vermont jam band's 11th self-produced festival?

Mondegreen is expected to draw over 45,000 attendees, according to Dover Police Department. The festival is Thursday, Aug. 15, to Sunday, Aug. 18.

Here's a glimpse at the food vendors available at Mondegreen, an event that offers an elevated and air-conditioned food hall with vendors and beverages from Vermont, along with Gaia Coffee from lower Delaware.

What is Burlington Beer Co. at Mondegreen Phish Festival?

Beer lovers will have their choice of 20-plus exclusive beer options offered in an open-air tent, from Thursday to Sunday, brewed by Vermont's Burlington Beer Co.

These craft brews include IPA, pale ale, lager, pilsner, porter, stout, wheat, sour and non-alcoholic options, per the Mondegreen mobile app.  There's also an exclusive Mondegreen beer line featuring a New England IPA 46 HAZE, a light Mexican-style lager Mexican Cousin and the crushable Powerful Pilsner.

What is Skinny Pancake at Mondegreen Phish Festival?

The creperie Skinny Pancake has a variety of flavors like Peach Melba Crepe (baked local peaches, raspberries and vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce), Blueberry Lemonade Crepe (Fisher Brothers Farm blueberries infused into house-made lemonade) and Raspberry Milkshake (Vermont raspberries blended with local milk and ice cream). But the Skinny Pancake also dishes up other items like bean burgers, fries, chicken Caesar wrap and more, according to the creperie's Facebook page. 

What is Mach's Wood-Fired Pizza at Mondegreen Phish Festival?

This pizzeria's website boasts that they offer "all-organic, all-natural, hand-shaped, thin pizza crust is made from unbleached — organic flour, pure mountain spring water, imported-unrefined-cold pressed olive oil, sea salt and yeast." Their pizza is roasted in a brick oven. Toppings include bacon, ham, sausage, pepperoni, sweet peppers, broccoli and more.

What is Broccoli Bar at Mondegreen Phish Festival?

The Broccoli Bar is all about that humble green vegetable. This vegan vendor has a menu that includes Tempura Broccoli (secret recipe batter with gluten-free maple-sriracha sauce), B-B Que Broccoli (chili dry rub, char grilled, Tamari Vinn), Stir Fry Broccoli (Chinese broccoli, Bok choy, onion garlic, ginger brown sauce) and dumplings (curried-broccoli sauce, wheat wrapper, veggie filled). Customers can customize their own bowls. 

What is Zero Gravity Brewing at Mondegreen Phish Festival?

This brewery has a variety of year-round drinks such as its Madonna (double IPA 8%), Little Wolf (pale ale 4.7%), Buck Buck Juice (double IPA 9%), Green State Lager (Pilsner 4.9%), Green State Light (light Pilsner 4%), Conehead (India Pale Ale 5.7%) and Conehead Hazy (Hazy IPA 6.3%).

What is Gaia Coffee at Mondegreen Phish Festival?

Lower Delaware's own Gaia Coffee doesn't just purchase Colombian coffee from a random warehouse. They travel to Costa Rica during peak harvest season and buy it directly from the farmer who grew it, which they stated on their website.

Gaia Coffee, which roasts locally in Lewes, offers seven coffees including new Nasa Blend (tasting notes: molasses, chocolate and smooth), Slower Lower Blend (toffee, semi-white chocolate and rich), Farmers Market Blend (toffee, semi-white chocolate and rich), Don Eli Repasado (chocolate, caramel, sweet), Colombia Palmera Decaf (cinnamon, caramel and citrus), Don Eli Jacob Montero's Catuai Anaerobic #2 (vanilla, watermelon, velvety) and Aquiares Centroamericano (cacao, oranges, almonds).

Farmhaus Farmers Market at Phish Mondegreen Festival

Phish fans will be able to buy fresh produce, food items and more at the Farmers Market at Farmhaus, open at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Friday to Sunday.

Ben & Jerry's at Phish Mondegreen Festival

Folks who stop by Ben & Jerry's station at Mondegreen will get a free scoop of Phish Food ice cream ( chocolate ice cream with gooey marshmallow swirls, caramel swirls and "Fudge Fish)," per the Ben & Jerry's website.

How much are Phish Mondegreen Festival tickets?

Mondegreen's general admission starts at $150 per day; $450 covers access for all four days. If you're bringing a vehicle, you also must buy a camping or parking vehicle pass (one per car or RV). Single-day parking passes start at $20.
