Board of Supervisors allocate over $1 million for expanded spay and neuter program
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County’s Board of Supervisors recently adopted a budget for the new fiscal year, which includes over $1 million to expand community access to spay and neuter services.
It’s an effort to cut down on the number of animals entering Kern’s overcrowded shelters, where healthy adoptable pets are being euthanized for space.
