The PieCaken Is Your Thanksgiving Dessert *~Fantasy~*
Turkey and stuffing (LOL, really just stuffing) are great and all, but we all know the true star of the Thanksgiving spread is dessert. To me, nothing says Thanksgiving like pumpkin pie ... or pecan pie ... or apple crumble. WHICH TO CHOOSE?! This is a common conundrum we all face, and one pastry chef was sick of it. His answer? The PieCaken.

Chef Zac Young, who heads up pastry for Craveable Hospitality Group, decided to create the Turducken of dessert: pecan pie, topped with pumpkin pie, topped with upside down apple cake. He dreamed up the gorgeous monstrosity for one of his restaurants, but once he grammed it, his friends FLIPPED, asking where they could buy on for themselves. Once Kelly Ripa mentioned it on her show, a best seller was born.
Making the PieCaken is actually fairly simple, but it takes Young some seven hours from start to finish with all the prepping, baking, and cooling. First, you need to make and bake pecan and pumpkin pies (game-changer: Young swears by sweetened condensed instead of evaporated milk!), then you bake spice cake, make apple pie filling and buttercream, and THEN - did I mention this is a monstrosity? - an oat crumble (which basically tastes like the most indulgent granola ever).
The finished result will win over even the most hardcore pumpkin pie fan. This s*it is legit, guys. Don't even think about celebrating Thanksgiving without one. But don't also don't attempt this at home. Buy one here.
