Pink, 40, Celebrates Her 'Thunder Thighs' In A New Instagram Photo
Some people will use filters and special angles on Instagram to try to make themselves look a certain way, but Pink isn't here for any of that. Instead, the 40-year-old singer is celebrating her body — just the way it is — in a new post that’s kind of amazing.
"I always wondered why God gave me thunder thighs. It’s cause he knew I’d use them," she captioned a shot of herself surfing, along with the hashtags #throwingbuckets #strongismygoal #joyful #wakesurfgirl #somebodysponsormealready.
A bunch of famous people low-level freaked in the comments. "Beautiful strong legs so you can tuuuuuuuuuurrrrn up! ??????????????????" wrote her trainer Jeanette Jenkins. "Is there ANYTHING you can’t do?" celebrity stylist Karla Welch said. Pink also got a nod from Gisele Bundchen, who wrote, "????????????????."
Pink has always been super athletic, but she works really hard to stay so fit. She once shared on Instagram that she biked 32 miles with Jenkins, pointing out that "I’m still standing."
She also previously told Women’s Health that she’ll often do an hour of cardio, an hour of P90X or yoga, then a half-hour of warming up when she’s on tour. "I do that six days a week," she said.
But Pink didn’t exactly say that she loves working out. "I like results. I like feeling strong. It keeps my mental floor higher," she said.
On the food front, Pink tries to eat well. She told Fitness Magazine that she focuses on a mostly vegan diet. "I try to eat really healthy most of the time. When I'm not on tour, I've done the vegan thing, although I sometimes eat chicken and fish," she said. The singer also tends to eat what she needs. Pink told Food & Wine that she eats "a lot" on tour "because I work out four and a half hours a day: a two-hour show, plus yoga, cardio and a rig check with the flying apparatuses."
But one of the best things about Pink’s approach to health is that she gives herself grace. Back in 2017, after she had her son Jameson, Pink wrote on Instagram that she technically qualified as "obese" by BMI standards, and she was cool with it. "Would you believe I'm 160 pounds and 5'3"? By 'regular standards' that makes me obese," she captioned a gym selfie. "I know I'm not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2, but dammit I don't feel obese. The only thing I'm feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies!"
