Pink's Powerful New Music Video Features a Beautiful Cameo by Her Daughter
Ahead of performing the National Anthem for the Super Bowl this weekend, Pink released a music video for her newest single, the heartfelt ballad "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken." The minimalist, black-and-white tone echoes her performance at Sunday night's Grammy Awards, during which the singer ditched her signature acrobatics and elaborate costumes and instead stood at a mic, wearing baggy jeans, a white t-shirt and no shoes, and let her incredible voice shine.
Like at the Grammys, the video features Pink in a simple outfit, addressing the camera head-on, and includes a touching cameo from her six-year-old daughter, Willow.
According to Billboard, the song was originally created for the movie Suffragette and was inspired by the movement to get women the right to vote. "You have to fight for what's rightly yours which is rights and respect and love and kindness and compassion and you have to be willing to die for it. These women were," Pink said of the film in 2015.
With the release of her video, Pink is donating to a great cause - and is encouraging fans to contribute as well. "As a UNICEF Ambassador, I am proud to work with an organization that supports and empowers women and children around the world," Pink said in a press release. "In honor of this incredible organization, in honor of this video for 'Wild Hearts' and in honor of girls and woman all over the world standing up for themselves, I am going to be making a donation in all of your names to this wonderful organization, and I encourage you to do the same if the spirit moves you."
