Pink & Kelly Clarkson Deliver Emotional Duet at 2017 American Music Awards
Pink and Kelly Clarkson took the stage at last night’s 2017 American Music Awards for their very first collaboration, and it’s safe to say they did not disappoint.
Presenter Jamie Foxx kicked off the performance with a tribute to the first responders of the tragedies and natural disasters that occurred throughout 2017. Then, right on cue, the opening chords from R.E.M.’s classic 1992 song “Everybody Hurts” boomed from the speakers.
Pink and Clarkson took the stage and alternated verses as they belted out a modern cover of Michael Stipe’s touching song. The musical goddesses delivered an emotional yet uplifting performance, all the while taking the time to admire each other’s exceptional vocals.
We can only hope their flawless duet is the first of many collaborations.
