Pizza Hut sent a woman free pizza after she got 'dumped and ghosted'
Breaking up is hard to do — but a large pepperoni with extra mushrooms sure can soften the blow.
One woman’s heartbreak has turned in a rather clever marketing opportunity for Pizza Hut. After Australian writer Rosie Waterland tweeted about her harsh split, the pizza chain leaped into action, offering some free pies to cheer her up. (Your move, Ben & Jerry’s.)
Hello I’m 31 and just got dumped via messenger and simultaneously blocked across all platforms so I couldn’t respond, high school-style. Can’t decide if I’m heartbroken or want to bitch to Ja’mie. Both I guess. IT’S ALL MATERIAL .

Got dumped and ghosted yesterday, and am getting lash refills today which means I CANNOT CRY FOR 24 HOURS. This is a genius life hack don’t @ me.

Waterland may now be single, but she joked that she has found her “new life partner” after Pizza Hut Australia got in touch with an offer she couldn’t refuse.
OMG. Brb found my new life partner. https://t.co/LJaHMwaTxE

Waterland’s followers applauded the generous move — well, mostly.
Pizza is more dependable than any man.

To quote the pizza giant: “Pizza will always be there for you. Thick and thin, in crust we trust.”
