Police officer in India adorably watches baby so mom can take exam
If you’re a student at the Boys Junior College in Telangana, India, and you need a babysitter, Head Constable Officer Mujeeb-ur-Rehman might just be your man. The police officer was assigned to security at the Mahbubnagar district school on Sunday as students inside took a police constable exam. One of the students was a woman with an infant.
Apparently, babysitting the tyke was an assignment Mujeeb-ur-Rehman could not refuse, so he stepped up to volunteer for nanny duties. The resulting photo of the officer trying to comfort the small child is one of the most heartwarming things you’ll see all week. The sweet snap was shared on Twitter by IPS Officer Rema Rajeswari, and it’s since gone viral with almost 24,000 likes and 5,500 retweets at the time of this article’s publication.

Telangana is a state in India with a population of more than 35 million, and head constables are usually the fifth in command in the Indian Police Service. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman is an officer at Moosapet police station — and possibly the most popular one now that he’s a social media star.
Twitter users were tickled by the picture, with some praising the glowing portrayal of law enforcement.
“Good to see positive side of police being shown,” one commented.
“Humanity is still alive. Hats off to the police officer,” wrote another.
