Police respond to a noise complaint but end up playing 'memorable' game of basketball with teens
Police officers in Virginia were dispatched to a house party on Saturday night after neighbors called in a noise complaint. But instead of ruining the fun for a group of high schoolers, the officers ended up adding to the entertainment by joining in on a game of basketball.
Brian Glessner, who posted a video of the pick-up game to Twitter, told Virginia station WRIC that he and other Glen Allen High School students were celebrating the end of their school’s spring musical “Sweeney Todd.” However, compared to all of the cast and crew parties that he’s been to throughout his four years at Glen Allen, this was the most “memorable.”

The teen additionally said that he and his cast mates were admittedly loud while playing hoops outside. Once the officers showed up though, it only seemed to get louder.
In videos of the game, more of Glessner’s friends are seen crowding around the backyard basketball court as at least three officers became competitive with the teens. Still, Glessner assured that it was all in good fun.
“Playing with the officers was an amazing experience that brought the whole cast together one more time,” he told WRIC. “As a senior, I have been to all the cast parties for Glen Allen throughout my four years, and nothing was as memorable as this.”
The Henrico Police officers involved weren’t immediately available for comment. The department’s Twitter account, however, responded to the video.
