Claude Hall's Tribute to Nina Simone
Nina Simone has been called the "High Priestess of Soul" for a reason: she was celebrated worldwide for her sultry, determined voice that became a symbol of the Civil Rights Movement. Today, her influence reaches a new generation of musicians such as Claudia Hall, the winner of the Palm Springs Sings competition in 2016. Claudia has performed in jazz clubs from Los Angeles to New York and will bring Simone's music to Agua Caliente as she explores "the feminine facet of the icon" in this tribute performance.
