Pregnant Ayesha Curry was the designated driver at the Golden State Warriors parade
Ayesha Curry is about to “pop” in her final month of pregnancy — but that isn’t stopping her from celebrating the Warriors and the team’s big win.
On Tuesday, Ayesha, who is a chef, cookbook author, and married to Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry, shared a photo of herself standing next to a wall painted with her husband’s image, writing in the caption, “Two basketballs in this pic LOL ones about to pop. (I volunteer, I volunteer as tribute).”

The mom, 29, is pictured wearing red basketball shorts with a blue and black flannel. The outfit is perfect for Ayesha, who’s expecting her third child with her husband of nearly seven years (they’re parents to daughters Riley, 6, and Ryan, 3).
Ayesha and the rest of the Curry family spent the day in Oakland on a float for the Warriors’s victory parade. While Ayesha abstained from drinking, she was on “DD and drink duty” and made pineapple margaritas and passionfruit rum punch.
Stephen also posted a picture of Ayesha. “Stuck daydreaming about all the memories this picture captures. Appreciate everything you do @ayeshacurry,” he wrote.

One of the reasons Ayesha might be volunteering as tribute to pop could be because she’s hasn’t had the smoothest pregnancy. In April, she revealed on Instagram that she had been hospitalized five different times, for a severe form of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum, from which Kate Middleton also suffered.
And in May, Ayesha claimed that a heckling man jostled her in the stomach following the loss of her husband’s team to the Houston Rockets in Texas.
“The fact you have the audacity to post this after this man bumped me in my 8-month pregnant belly asking and I quote ‘doesn’t losing feel like getting punched in the gut?’ And continued to follow me and taunt me with his camera is beyond me … but ‘This is America’ right.”
Fortunately, the Curry girls are ready for showtime. A few months ago, Ayesha posted a precious image of her daughters kissing her stomach, writing, “This is the life. Blessing on blessing on blessing. Already so much love.”
