'Price Is Right' Contestant Sustains Painful Injury Celebrating Big Win
A contestant featured on The Price Is Right went viral–but for all the wrong reasons.
The man, named Henry Joy, accidentally injured himself while celebrating a big win on the Thursday, June 15 episode of the game show.
It all happened so fast that viewers may have easily missed it if they weren't paying close attention. Most probably just watched as Henry sped through the rounds of obstacles, correctly guessing the value and prices of various items, eventually leading him to victory.
Clearly overjoyed with excitement, the contestant may have let his emotions get the best of him as the show's host Drew Carey later explained that Henry dislocated his shoulder while celebrating, leaving him unable to spin the wheel.
Luckily, his wife Alice was feeling up for it and managed to secure Henry a spot in the game show's Showcase Showdown segment.
"Woo!" Henry shouted while fist pumping with one arm, to which the 65-year-old comedian responded by telling Henry to "be careful."
Despite the painful injury that likely left him with a sore arm, Henry left the show a winner with the prize of a picture-perfect trip to Hawaii–and the butt of a viral meme, as The Price Is Right social team joked, "He won a trip to Hawaii and the ER."
The game show's official Instagram statement also included an update on the contestant's health, sharing that Henry is reportedly "feeling better and all healed now!"
