Prince Andrew Is Reportedly ‘Bewildered’ That He Hasn’t Received His Inheritance From The Queen Yet
Prince Andrew is allegedly “bewildered” as he has yet to receive a portion of his late mother Queen Elizabeth II‘s fortune following her September 2022 passing. As reported by the UK Sun, the queen was believed to have left an estate worth more than $782 million.
The disgraced royal, 63, is supposedly upset since all of the estate is going to her eldest son King Charles for “tax reasons,” as the New York Post writes. If the money is truly given “monarch to monarch,” Charles, 74, can avoid paying taxes on it, the outlet notes, but this move also means that his siblings — Andrew, Prince Edward, 59, and Princess Anne, 72, haven’t received a penny.
Unlike Edward and Anne (who are still working royals), Andrew does not have a formal role in royal life or an income after his mother stripped him of his “military and royal titles in the wake of his involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal,” the Post notes.
Prince Andrew Is In ‘Despair’ After Reportedly Not Receiving His Inheritance
A friend of Andrew reportedly told The Sun, “He’s in despair. He’s a member of the family, for God’s sake.” They added, allegedly detailing his thought process, “What’s he meant to do? Go cap in hand to his older brother to keep a roof over his head?”
Andrew, as the publication points out, is still coping after losing his “taxpayer-funded guards and accommodation at Buckingham Palace in the past six months,” after llosing his public funding when he “quit as a working royal over sex abuse allegations.”
He also stands to lose Royal Lodge, which he shares with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York. “The Duke does not have the funds to maintain the 31-room, £30million grace-and-favour mansion in Windsor Great Park,” The Sun writes regarding the property.
King Charles Refused To Sign Off Andrew’s Bill For Live-In Indian Guru
In other news, word of Andrew’s “bewilderment” at being cut out of Queen Elizabeth’s money came just one day after The Sun reported that Charles refused to sign off on Andrew’s $38,000 bill for a “live-in Indian guru.” This guru has supposedly treated Andrew to chanting, massages and other forms of holistic therapy, according to the outlet.
