Prince Charles' Relationship with Camilla Has Changed Him for the Better
Prince Charles' relationship with his second wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has long been the subject of scrutiny. But according to a new profile of the royal, it's been revealed that Camilla has been a force for positive change in Prince Charles' life.
In the new profile in Vanity Fair, sources reveal that Prince Charles, who is referred to as "the boss" in the piece, is described as "a helluva lot easier and happier" with Camilla around.
A royal correspondent tells the publication that Camilla has "made a massive difference in him," and it appears as though those changes are evident to everyone around. The correspondent also notes, "He’s much more relaxed now. They are always laughing and chatting, they have great affection and humor between them."
Interestingly, photographer Alexi Lubomirski, who was responsible for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's iconic engagement and wedding photos, points out the undeniable chemistry between Charles and Camilla. On photographing the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall for Vanity Fair, Lubomirski says, "there was a sparkle in their eyes-that’s when the magic happened. You feel like they are a young couple in love."
Vanity Fair previously reported that it took some time for Camilla to win over the royal family, and Prince Charles' mother, Queen Elizabeth, in particular. Having been known as "the Prince’s mistress" for quite some time, as well as being embroiled in Charles' divorce from Princess Diana, Camilla was in an extremely difficult position.
But according to Vanity Fair's profile of the prince, Charles and Camilla are here to stay.
