Prince George, Budding Fashion Icon, Wore Pants for the First time to Harry & Meghan’s Wedding

From meeting Barack Obama in a robe to dishing out side-eye, it’s clear Prince George wears the pants in the royal family. So why do we never see him in, well, pants?

The mini-monarch finally traded in his signature shorts lewk in honor of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding on Saturday and wore pants for the first time in public. Judging from the photos, he hated it.

The 4-year-old, who served as a pageboy in Uncle Harry’s wedding, wore a bite-size version of the Blues and Royals coat and black pants worn by the groom and dad Prince William. His sartorially historic trousers were custom-made, of course, by Dege & Skinner and featured a slimming red stripe.

The question remains: After wearing shorts to his Aunt Pippa’s wedding, first day of school and every royal appearance he’s ever made, is the little prince a pants guy now?

Only time will tell.
