Prince George Just Landed on Britain's Best Dressed List and He Slays
At just five years old, Prince George is already setting trends. The future king was just named one of the most fashionable people in the U.K., landing on Tatler magazine’s best-dressed list.
Insider notes the magazine praises the little royal’s style, saying he “flies the flag for Christopher Robin chic,” referencing George's penchant for collared shirts, shorts, and high socks, just like the Winnie the Pooh character. That description is especially on-trend, since the movie Christopher Robin, featuring Ewan McGregor as a grown-up version of the books' protagonist, is about to hit theaters.
Prince George certainly has an effect on the kids’ fashion world. Just as shoppers rush to purchase whatever Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton wear, parents flock to sites like eBay to find items Prince George and his two younger siblings wear. Ever since he emerged in his swaddling blanket, any item he wears usually sells out online.
This isn't even the first time he's made a best-dressed list. Back in 2015, Prince George made British GQ's list of most fashionable men. "Already following in the footsteps of his great-great-great-uncle, Edward VIII, and his grandfather, the Prince of Wales, Prince George looks set to become the UK's best-dressed man," former Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz told the magazine.
Prince George isn’t the only royal on the list, either. Joining him on the fashion-forward roster are the Queen, Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton, Camilla Parker Bowles, and Lady Amelia Windsor. Other celebrities on the list include Amal Clooney, Nicky Hilton, Harry Styles, and Dua Lipa.
