It’s been a big weekend for the royal family, from Kate Middleton and Prince William attending the Wimbledon tennis tournament to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry meeting Beyoncé and Jay Z. But where are the children? As far as Prince George and Princess Charlotte are concerned, they’re having their own fun without the rest of their family.

George and Charlotte attended the summer festival in Berkshire along with their grandparents, Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton, and reportedly had the time of their lives.

They were having such fun going from stall to stall, playing on all the games,” a local source told People. “George did pretty well at the ‘crockery smash’ stall. He looked very pleased with himself.”

The annual fest is close to where the Middletons live in Bucklebury, about an hour-and-a-half drive from London. It includes everything a kid would want in a summer fair: slides, barbecues, live music, and games.

“They were so cute, and Charlotte particularly was very friendly, politely saying hello to other children,” the insider added. “George was running around, exactly like all the other children.”

As noted by People, the grounds of the festival, Englefield Estate, is particularly special for the Middleton family. For Pippa Middleton’s wedding back in 2017, the youngest Middleton daughter and her then-fiancé James Matthews, held their reception at Englefield House on the estate.
