Prince Harry Arrives in U.K. Solo to See Estranged Father King Charles After Cancer Diagnosis
Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex attend the "Our Planet" global premiere at Natural History Museum on April 4, 2019, in London, England.
Shortly after Buckingham Palace announced King Charles III's cancer diagnosis, Prince Harry arrived in the U.K. to see his estranged father.
According to TMZ, The Duke of Sussex jetted off to London less than a day after the communication was released without his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
Prince Harry reportedly flew in from LAX and headed straight to Clarence House where his father is staying. It is unclear whether or not his prompt actions can be any indication of the true nature or severity of King Charles' recent diagnosis.
Prior to Prince Harry's arrival, multiple news outlets reported that King Charles' younger son would travel to London in the coming days. Reportedly, the monarch, 75, informed both Harry and Prince William—in addition to his siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward—of his cancer diagnosis before the news was released to the public.

On Monday, Feb. 5, Buckingham Palace released a statement revealing King Charles was diagnosed with an unspecified cancer.
"During The King's recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer," the update posted via X read.
"The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure," the statement added. "He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible."
The message concluded: "His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer."
