Prince Harry Had a Casual Night Out with Friends in London on Friday
Prince Harry has been in England for the past week to negotiate with his family over terms of his and Meghan's big step back from royal life. On Friday night, he seemed to want to kick back a bit in London and went out with friend to a West London pub, per Hello!.
Harry and his friends went to Brook House Pub in Fulham, which is owned by his friend, Mark Dyer. Hello! wrote that Harry spent three hours at the pub and acted like a "normal" customer (we should hope!). This could have been a bit of a bon voyage engagement as Harry prepares to return to Canada soon.
This chill night out preceded the announcement that Buckingham Palace made on Saturday that Meghan and Harry will be giving up their royal titles. They will also be paying back the $3 million that the Sovereign Grant expenditure gave them to redo Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
"I want to thank them for all their dedicated work across this country, the Commonwealth and beyond, and am particularly proud of how Meghan has so quickly become one of the family," the Queen said in her statement. "It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life."
As Carolyn Durand reported for ELLE.com, Harry and Meghan are giving up their three military roles. They will retain their titles to their private charities and patronages.
Their security arrangements are still being negotiated, and Prince Charles will continue to offer support the couple financially as they work to be financially independent.
