Prince Harry Had a Sweet Plan for the Royal Wedding — Here's What He Says 'Ruined the Whole Thing'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May wedding appeared to be the picture of perfection. From Meghan’s custom-made Givenchy dress to the couple’s adorable altar whispers, the wedding looked to be ideal. Except for one thing: the flowers.

As part of the new exhibit, “A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” a voiceover explains how the couple diligently planted flowers in their home garden at Kensington Palace, which they planned to use as part of Meghan’s bouquet.

“We have a very small garden here that we had been planting things in the fall for and what was really special, I think, was that the morning of the wedding Harry went in and he picked some flowers to go into my bouquet, which was really beautiful and something that makes it sentimental and really meaningful,” Meghan shares in the recording, Vanity Fair reported. But, sadly, not everything went as planned.

“We didn’t have as many flowers in our little garden as we had hoped for because I think it snowed at Easter,” Harry said, adding, “That kind of ruined the whole thing!”

Still, we think it’s safe to say nobody noticed.

The exhibit, which opened in late October, is the first time the couple has truly opened up about their now famous nuptials. Beyond the tidbit about the flowers, the exhibit also features Meghan’s wedding dress and a replica of Harry’s Blues and Royals frock coat, according to Vanity Fair. Harry also shared the inside information that he was there when the Queen lent Meghan her first royal tiara.

“Every girl’s dream to be able to try on a tiara, and, funnily enough, the one that suited the best, the one that looked the best on you without question, I shouldn’t have really even been there, but such an incredible loan by my grandmother, it was very sweet.”
