Prince Harry Just Met a Therapy Dog, Who Offered to Shake His Hand
Prince Harry is celebrating World Mental Health Day with an all-new four-legged friend.
Earlier today, the Duke of Sussex, 35, visited the Nottingham Academy in England in honor of the annual day of awareness. While there, Prince Harry met a therapy dog named Barney, who immediately greeted the royal with a firm handshake—er, pawshake?
Much to our delight, photographers snapped pics of the adorable exchange. We applaud Barney for keeping his cool around Prince Harry, because there’s no way we’d be that chill in the presence of royalty.
The appearance took place shortly after Prince Harry revealed that he’s teaming up with Ed Sheeran (yes, you read that right) in honor of World Mental Health Day. The pair shared an announcement video on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s official Instagram account (@sussexroyal), which—sorta—explained their new partnership.
“It’s World Mental Health Day!” the caption read. “Both Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran want to ensure that not just today but every day, you look after yourself, your friends and those around you. There’s no need to suffer in silence—share how you’re feeling, ask how someone is doing and listen for the answer. Be willing to ask for help when you need it and know that we are all in this together. #WMHD.”
All hail Barney the therapy dog.
