Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Just Revealed Their Brand-New Partnership
In a statement to the press, the couple said, "The health of our communities depends on our ability to connect to our shared humanity. When we think about Chef Andrés and his incredible team at World Central Kitchen, we're reminded that even during a year of unimaginable hardship, there are so many amazing people willing—and working tirelessly—to support each other. World Central Kitchen inspires us through compassion in action."
A total of four Community Relief Centers will be built, and the first is already underway in the island of Dominica, which was heavily impacted by hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. The center is expected to be completed in 2021.
Meanwhile, the second center will be built in Puerto Rico, where World Central Kitchen held a "massive-scale food security response" after hurricane Maria hit. The locations of the last two centers have yet to be announced, but Andrés, Prince Harry and Markle are hoping to support even more countries by building more centers in the future.
The Duke and Duchess have been knee-deep in charity work since they moved with their son, Archie, to California. For instance, in April, the two volunteered with Project Angel Food in West Hollywood by delivering meals to disabled and special needs residents. And in August, the couple were spotted at Baby2Baby’s drive-through charity event in Los Angeles.
Keep up the amazing work, you two.
