Prince Harry, Prince Charles, and More Royals Celebrate Prince William's Birthday
After enjoying Father's Day this past Sunday, Prince William already has another reason to celebrate. Today, the future king reached his 37th year-and the whole royal family was eager to wish him a happy birthday.
Royals tend to have private events to mark their birthdays, but they've still found a way to engage with royal watchers around the world-with thoughtful Instagram posts.
On the Clarence House Instagram account, Prince Charles and Camilla marked the occasion with a touching post. They shared a throwback photo of Charles playing with William in the Kensington Palace Garden, along with the message "Happy Birthday to HRH The Duke of Cambridge, who turns 37 today. #HappyBirthdayHRH??"
Meanwhile, the main royal family Instagram handle-which represents Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, among other members of the House of Windsor-shared its own message of congratulations. This morning, it posted a slideshow of images of William, with several of the pictures showing him alongside the Queen. The caption of the photo not only wished William a happy birthday, but also explained the Duke's place in the line of succession.
Never one to miss a family birthday, the Duke of York also shared a photo in honor of his nephew's milestone. The throwback picture showed a young William visiting Prince Andrew on the HMS Brazen in 1986.
And Prince William and Kate Middleton's own account even got in on the action, posting a smiley photo of the birthday boy along with a message of thanks for all the well wishes.
Prince Harry celebrated his older brother by commenting on that post with the message: "Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge!"
