Prince Harry Retreats From Spotlight In Fear There's "Too Much Hysteria" Over Meghan Markle
Don't expect to see too much of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the rest of the summer, because the pair have reportedly decided to take a step back from the spotlight.
Per Vanity Fair reporter Katie Nicholl, Harry in particular is concerned about the buzz surrounding Meghan, and is "uncomfortable" with the level of interest in her.
"He worries there is too much hysteria around Meghan and he wants to row back a bit," a source said, while a photographer at the Sentebale Polo Cup in Windsor last week (where Harry and Meghan were spotted kissing) explained, "It was quite clear that they didn’t want the press anywhere near them."
A friend of the couple tells Nicholl that Harry and Meghan are renting a farmhouse cottage on the Great Tew Estate in the Cotswolds, and that when it comes to the palace "Harry’s not around that much anymore. Meghan likes him to keep his diary clear at the weekends so they can be together in the countryside."
Oh, and by the way, their place in the countryside? It's packed with security. "It’s very clear they want to be private and left alone," a local explains to Vanity Fair. "The property is in the middle of woodland and you wouldn’t know it was there. It is very remote which is why they like it. It’s like a fortress. There’s a huge security presence, you can’t get close."
