Prince Harry Returns to the U.K. for a Previously Unannounced Appearance
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to return to the United Kingdom for the Commonwealth Day service, which they will attend alongside fellow members of the royal family.
It's believed that Harry will travel ahead of Meghan, so that he can host a summit in Scotland this week.
The prince has already shown his commitment to the Travalyst initiative, which encourages eco-friendly travel.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are returning to London next month to complete a number of official royal duties. Importantly, they will attend the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on March 9.
A source recently revealed to BAZAAR.com, "Meghan will be conducting something private and patronage-related meetings during her time in London." And it's now been announced that Prince Harry will host an eco-tourism summit on behalf of Travalyst in Edinburgh, Scotland, this week, meaning that he will likely arrive in the U.K. before the duchess does.
The Travalyst initiative is a collaboration between Booking.com, SkyScanner, CTrip, TripAdvisor, and Visa, which asks travelers to consider the environment when planning trips and vacations.
Per Edinburgh Evening News, "Around 100 representatives of the tourism and travel sector are expected to attend the eco-tourism summit at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Wednesday, which is being jointly staged by Travalyst, the EICC, and tourism agency VisitScotland."
Since announcing their decision to step back as senior royals, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have spent the majority of their time in Canada.
