From Harper's BAZAAR

  • Prince Harry is in the Hague in the Netherlands today to celebrate the one-year countdown to Invictus Games 2020.

  • During a bike ride as part of the day's engagements, he wore a jacket that reads "Invictus Family Daddy."

  • Harry and Duchess Meghan welcomed their first child on Monday, May 6.

Prince Harry officially became a father this week, when he and wife Duchess Meghan welcomed their firstborn, son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on Monday, May 6. But his other "baby" has long been the Invictus Games, the sports competition he founded for injured and ill veterans in 2019.

Today (May 9), while in the Hague in the Netherlands to mark the one-year countdown to Invictus Games 2020, Harry sported a jacket paying tribute to the latter role with the words "Invictus Family Daddy" cheekily emblazoned on the front.

Earlier in the day, the Duke of Sussex received a matching onesie for son Archie from Princess Margriet of the Netherlands. It reads "Invictus Games 2020 The Hague."

Truly, the only time we've seen this man happier is when he was announcing the birth of his first child:

The duke was in great spirits during his visit today, despite an extremely busy day yesterday (May 8). He and Duchess Meghan introduced baby Archie to the world with a short photo shoot and video interview at Windsor Castle.

After, the couple visited the queen and Prince Philip, along with Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland. The meeting resulted in one of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen:

Next week, Harry heads to Oxford, England on Tuesday (May 14), to visit Oxford Children’s Hospital, OXSRAD Disability Sports & Leisure Centre, and Barton Neighborhood Center. Royal reporter Omid Scobie tweeted, "The engagements highlight the positive work in Oxford supporting the needs of children, youth and adults."

But before that, the Duke and Duchess will spend the weekend (and Mother's Day!) with Archie and Ragland at their home, Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor.
