How Prince Louis' Christening Photos Compare to George and Charlotte's
Kensington Palace released Prince Louis' christening portraits today, following the official ceremony on Monday, July 9. The two-month-old royal baby stars in the images, shot by British photographer Matt Holyoak, along with other famous faces from the royal family.
It wasn't too long ago that Louis' older siblings, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 3, were in the same position. Below, see how the infant's photos compare to his siblings'.
Prince George
The Duke and Duchess' first child and third in line for the throne got the formal treatment for his photoshoot in 2013. The picture was taken by photographer Jason Bell in the Morning Room at Clarence House, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla's royal residence, according to People.

Prince George, dressed in a traditional christening robe also worn by his siblings, sits on Kate's lap while William sits beside her. The Duchess wore a ruffled cream Alexander McQueen ensemble for the ceremony and the portrait session.
Princess Charlotte
Princess Charlotte's christening came two years after big brother George's. The differences in their portraits are instantly noticeably in the setting. For the family shot, the Duke, Duchess, Prince George, and baby Charlotte posed outside the Queen's scenic country residence in Norfolk, Sandringham House. For the group shot with their extended family, the family of four also posed indoors, People points out.

In the outdoor pic, Kate carries Charlotte while William carries George, who appears to be playing with his hair. The proud parents look happy as ever with massive smiles in the photo. Once again, she wears a white look by McQueen.
Prince Louis
Middleton wore a white McQueen look again, proving third time's a charm.
The biggest differences in the family group photos lie in the attendance. The Queen and Prince Philip are missing; they didn't attend Louis' christening although the they were present for George's and Charlotte's.

However, the group welcomed Meghan Markle as a newbie to the christening crew. The Duchess of Sussex stunned in an olive Ralph Lauren look for the ceremony, which took place at the same location as her own baptism ahead of the royal wedding.
