Prince Louis’s Trooping the Colour outfit may have looked familiar to some keen-eyed royal watchers. For Louis’s first official event he wore a pair of blue shorts with a white-and-blue collared shirt, the same outfit worn by a young Prince Harry during Trooping the Colour in 1986.

Photos of a young Harry show him on the balcony being held by his aunt, Princess Anne, while he smiled at the crowd. Louis appears to share his uncle’s vibrant personality as well, as he was cheerfully waving to the crowd during the event on Saturday. The one-year-old also had his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, smiling and laughing while he sucked his thumb on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

This isn’t the first time the royal family has passed down clothes. During Prince George’s first Trooping the Colour appearance in 2014, he wore a blue onesie with white lace trim, the same onesie worn by his father during the event in 1984 (Prince Harry wore an awfully similar one during his first Trooping the Colour in 1985).

This year’s celebration, which celebrates Queen Elizabeth’s birthday, was also Meghan Markle’s first public appearance since giving birth to her son Archie on May 6. Meghan attended the parade riding in a carriage alongside Harry, Kate, and Prince Charles’s wife Camilla Bowels. One-month-old Archie was left in the hands of a royal caretaker during the event, but it seems possible that he’ll be on the balcony with his parents for next year’s celebration. Who’s outfit he’ll be wearing, though, is still anyone’s guess.
