Prince William and Kate Middleton Took Their Children Out to a Pub for Dinner
Prince William and Kate Middleton took their children on a little pre-school outing to a pub over the weekend. Apparently the family are regulars at the Old Boot Inn near Kate’s hometown of Bucklebury, about an hour’s drive from London.
"I think they like coming here because people leave them alone," Andre Claassen, the pub’s landlord, told The Mirror. "No one bothers them or asks for selfies."
Claassen added that the children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, enjoy playing around the pub, and offered one very cute anecdote about the couple’s eldest child.
"When George is here, he wears a camouflage outfit. You have to pretend like you can't see him," he said. "Charlotte's very cute. She plays in the garden with my partner Rebecca's daughter. One time we had a coach full of Dutch tourists out there with them and no one even knew who they were, because they always just look like an ordinary family."
The spot is also popular with Kate’s family, including her parents, Carol and Michael Middleton. Her sister, Pippa, also stopped in last month with her husband, James Matthews.
Prince William and Kate are enjoying their last few days of summer with their children before school starts on September 5. Prince George will be starting second grade while Princess Charlotte will be going into kindergarten at Thomas’s Battersea in the Notting Hill neighborhood of London.
"We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea," Simon O’Malley, headteacher of the school, said. "We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September."
