Prince William Says Princess Kate ‘Needs’ to Be by His Side During Recent Public Outing

A few days after Princess Kate was allegedly filmed enjoying time with her husband on Saturday, March 16, at a place called Windsor Farm Shop near their home, Prince William appeared to miss his wife during a royal visit to Sheffield, England.

On Tuesday, March 19, William was in the city to talk with the Homewards Sheffield Local Coalition about stopping homelessness, when the topic turned to young children.

William endearingly referenced his wife, saying, "That’s my wife’s area, she needs to be sat here," noting her absence.

In this conversation, as reported by In Touch Weekly, William was likely referencing Kate's work focusing on early childhood, something she has studied closely for many years. The princess then launched the long-term Shaping Us campaign last January with the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

The mother of three explained in her speech at the announcement, "The campaign is fundamentally about shining a spotlight on the critical importance of early childhood and how it shapes the adults we become."

William also mentioned his wife in another sweet comment recently. As he decorated cookies on March 14 at a youth center, someone complimented him, leading the prince to say, "It’s really not impressive work. My wife is the arty one. My children are artier than I am.”

The public is eager to see Kate return to her royal duties, but they are currently on hold as she recovers from her January surgery. Around a month after she was admitted to the hospital—as the public continued to push strange theories about her whereabouts—Kensington Palace released a statement saying that she was recovering well at home.

Since then, the controversy regarding Kate's edited Mother's Day photos occurred, and the sighting at Windsor Farm Shop is the latest update on the princess' current status.
