Prince William Talks to George, Charlotte & Louis About the COVID-19 Pandemic Every Day
Prince William has opened up about parenting his three kids—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During a video call with the United Kingdom's National Health Service staff from Homerton University Hospital in London, the Duke of Cambridge revealed that he's been talking to his three children about the pandemic on a daily basis.
"Catherine and I and all the children talk about all of you guys every day, so we’re making sure the children understand all of the sacrifices that all of you are making," William told the NHS hospital staff on the video call.
"A huge thank you for all the hard work, the sleepless nights, the lack of sleep, the anxiety, the exhaustion and everything that you are doing, we are so grateful," he continued. "Good luck, we are all thinking of you."
The official Kensington Palace Instagram account shared footage from William's virtual meeting with hospital staff. "We are so thankful for the work of our incredible NHS staff ??," the caption said. "Prince William spoke to staff from Homerton University Hospital in London to hear about their experiences in recent weeks, and to offer his thanks for their continued efforts."
"In the past week, Homerton University Hospital has seen their highest number of admissions since the pandemic began, with over 200 COVID patients currently being cared for," the captioned continued. "Providing psychological support for staff at such a challenging time is essential, and this has been embraced by Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust."
The caption explained, "Funds from @nhscharitiestogether—of which The Duke and Duchess became join Patrons in December 2020—have paid for breakfast boxes sent to hospital and community staff, and a new break out room for A&E staff, and even the creation of a ‘Wobble Room’ in the hospital for staff to relax."
