Princess Beatrice Looks Fabulous in Embellished Pearl Headband at Trooping the Colour 2022

Despite not standing on the Buckingham Palace balcony during this year's Trooping the Colour, Princess Beatrice was still in attendance to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's birthday parade and historic 70th year on the throne as part of her Platinum Jubilee.

For the spectacular event, the royal was spotted appearing in good spirits while looking out the windows of the London residence with the Cambridge children—Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4— and Zara and Mike Tindall's daughter Mia, 8. She opted for a printed dress with mid-length sleeves and wore her hair down with an embellished pearl headband to tie her spring-forward look together.

Beatrice and her younger sister, Eugenie, were among the many royals who didn't make the cut to stand on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside Her Majesty. Previously, upwards of 40 people often joined the monarch as they waved to onlookers from above and watched the RAF flypast, but this year the group was limited to working royals aka those who represent the monarchy in an official capacity. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were also excluded from the annual festivities on the balcony but partook in the festivities behind the scenes.

"After careful consideration, The Queen has decided this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those Members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of The Queen,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson told reporters last month during a briefing about the jubilee weekend.

Beatrice will likely also attend the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral tomorrow and join The Queen on Derby Day at Epsom Downs over the weekend. Check back to Town & Country for additional details throughout the weekend.
