Princess Beatrice Perfects Her Royal Style in an Understated Blue Dress
Princess Beatrice has arrived to celebrate the historic 70-year reign of her grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, were among the many guests attending the National Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral, one of this week's Platinum Jubilee events.
For the occasion, Beatrice opted for a monochrome slate blue outfit, consisting of a long-sleeved midi dress with pearl buttons, a hat adorned with a bow, a box clutch, and gray pumps. The royal further accessorized with diamond chandelier earrings.
Yesterday, Beatrice made a brief appearance at the Trooping the Colour parade, where she was photographed looking out of a window at Buckingham Palace alongside the Cambridge children—eight-year-old Prince George, seven-year-old Princess Charlotte, and four-year-old Prince Louis—as well as Zara and Mike Tindall's eight-year-old daughter, Mia. For the occasion, she wore a printed dress and one of her signature pearl-embellished headbands.
Beatrice, along with other guests like Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, did not join the monarch and other members of the royal family for the traditional balcony appearance following a decision made last month, in which a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace confirmed that non-working members of the royal family would not be invited to stand on the balcony.
"After careful consideration, The Queen has decided this year's traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those Members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of The Queen," the spokesperson said in a statement to BAZAAR.com at the time.
