Princess Charlene of Monaco made an appearance with members of her family for the final match of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters tennis tournament at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Sunday. The royal was joined by her husband, Prince Albert II of Monaco, and son, Prince Jacques.
For the occasion, Princess Charlene created her version of a royal power suit moment. The royal wore a Ralph Lauren jacket featuring polished gold buttons. Beneath the double-breasted jacket, she wore a Polo Ralph Lauren striped cotton shirt.

Princess Charlene wore a simple pair of white pants, and finished off the look with a pair of Manolo Blahnik navy blue suede heels. As for her accessories, the royal carried a bag by Akris. Princess Charlene is just the latest royal to approach the power suit fashion trend.
A number of royal women have put their own spin on power suits over the course of the last several years. More recently, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden fashioned her own power suit moment. She made the case for spring wool during a daytime engagement with her husband, Prince Daniel of Sweden. The royal wore a bouclé blazer with gold buttons by Andiata.
Other notable royals have made power suits an essential part of their royal wardrobe, especially when it comes to daytime engagements and royal duties. Kate Middleton has fashioned suits by such designers and fashion labels as Burberry, Alexander McQueen and Roland Mouret, among others.
The power suit has a long history as an essential staple of menswear. But over the course of the last several decades, royal women have made the power suit their own. From Princess Diana’s 1988 Catherine Walker suit and Hackett waistcoat to her daughters-in-law — Catherine, Princess of Wales and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex — respective takes on the trend, the royal power suit has grown in popularity. Princess Charlene is just the latest royal to demonstrate her proclivity for the fashion staple.
