Summer is almost over for two of our favorite royal kids. Next week, Princess Charlotte will be joining her big brother, Prince George, for her first day of elementary school at Thomas's Battersea in London. Their parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, are expected to join the little ones. Photos from the big day (Thursday, September 5) will be released, Kensington Palace has confirmed.
This marks a big step for Princess Charlotte, 4, who previously attended London's Willcocks Nursery School. (Her first day of school photos, released in January 2018, were as precious as can be.) Prince George, 6, has been attending Thomas's Battersea since September 2017. His first day of school pictures were also incredibly adorable.
At the time, only Prince William accompanied George for the milestone because Duchess Kate, who was pregnant with Prince Louis at the time, was home with morning sickness. The father-son duo did get a charming portrait out of it, though.
It was first announced in May that Princess Charlotte would be joining her brother at Thomas's Battersea. The school's principal, Simon O’Malley, seemed delighted over the news. "We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September," he said at the time, per royal correspondent Omid Scobie.
