Princess Eugenie Got in Major Trouble for One of Her Instagrams
When Princess Eugenie first made her Instagram public, royal fans were excited for an ~insider look~ at the life of a princess. In a recent interview with British Vogue, she said that one of her 'grams got her in trouble.
She posted this sweet picture of her father on the day of Trooping the Colour. "A wonderful and proud day celebrating Her Majesty’s birthday and @hrhdukeofyork for his first Trooping the Colour as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards #troopingthecolour" she wrote in the caption.
Seems innocent enough, right? Apparently, this is part of a private space within Buckingham Palace that's never supposed to be shown to the public. By posting this picture, she's breaking that royal protocol. Members of the royal family were not too thrilled about this.
"I recently got in trouble for posting a picture of Papa in a corridor of the palace that was off limits to the public," she admitted in the interview.
Reporters pointed out this mistake at the time, but Eugenie hadn't spoked about it herself until now.
She said it's hard to manage having an Instagram that has nearly 300,000 followers because it's a balance of what should be public and what shouldn't. Take Father's Day, for instance. She wanted to post a picture of her and her father at Balmoral, but it felt too personal, and a picture from the Ascot felt too formal, so she posted this adorable childhood pic instead.
I dare one member of the royal family to be mad about all that cuteness. DARE them.
