Princess Eugenie's short dress and knee-high boots are causing a style controversy
Meghan Markle’s not the only royal figure whose style was scrutinized this week.
A newly engaged Princess Eugenie arrived at the Commonwealth Youth Forum on Wednesday just before cousin Prince Harry and his famous fiancée. Some critics dismissed Markle’s sleeveless Altuzarra dress and bare shoulders as “inappropriate.”
Likewise, royal fans all over the internet are divided about what they think of 28-year-old Eugenie’s controversial outfit.
Princess Eugenie was beaming as she arrived at the event in London, wearing a day dress by the brand Whistles.

She matched the floral dress with a pair of black knee-high boots by Isabel Marant, which left many wondering if her outfit was appropriate for such a formal occasion.
The arguments from people online range from those who think the dress was too short to others who mocked the boots.
But Princess Eugenie has never been one to listen to the haters, and she actually wore this exact same outfit when she appeared at a function with her sister, Princess Beatrice, back in 2017.
Is a flash of skin here and there — even in warm weather — unbecoming a royal? Or should they be free to dress like anyone else without getting sharp comments?
