Princess Kate Has Arrived at Queen Elizabeth's Funeral

Kate Middleton is joining the rest of the royal family in paying their respects to Queen Elizabeth II one final time.

Today, the Princess of Wales arrived in a car with Queen Camilla and her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at Westminster Abbey, where the queen's funeral will take place.

She appeared in mourning dress. Her all-black outfit included a veiled black hat, a black coat dress, black pumps, and a black clutch. She also accessorized with pearl drop earrings and a three-strand pearl choker necklace with a diamond center.

Since the passing of the queen earlier this month, Kate has been subtly honoring the late matriarch via her accessories.

She was most recently seen during a reception for Commonwealth nations leaders at Buckingham Palace wearing the three-strand pearl necklace and a pair of pearl-and-diamond earrings that previously belonged to Queen Elizabeth. Prior to that, Kate participated in a procession of the queen's casket to Westminster Hall, where she wore a diamond-and-pearl brooch in the shape of three leaves, which also was once owned by the queen.

Kate's husband, Prince William, previously paid tribute to the queen in a statement released by Kensington Palace soon after the announcement of her death.

"She was by my side at my happiest moments," the Prince of Wales said in the message. "And she was by my side during the saddest days of my life. I knew this day would come, but it will be some time before the reality of life without Grannie will truly feel real."

While greeting well-wishers outside of Windsor Castle earlier this month, Kate told one supporter how the family is coping with their loss.

“My little Louis is just so sweet,” Kate says in a video that captured the interaction, eventually becoming teary-eyed. She references her youngest son, four-year-old Prince Louis. “He said, ‘Mummy don't worry, because she is now with great-grandpa.’”
